Introduction

In the following terms and conditions of sale “the company”, “we” and “us” refers to Greaves Tree Services Limited t/a Lakes Kiln Dried Logs, a limited company registered in England and Wales, registration number: 08920719, with registered office: 53 Coronation Drive, Dalton-In-Furness, Cumbria, LA15 8QJ.

“The customer” and “you” means any person contacting the company for the supply of woodland management services, machinery hire, and domestic or commercial wood fuel supply.

“Delivery” means delivery by Greaves Tree Services Limited t/a Lakes Kiln Dried Logs or any subcontractor employed directly or indirectly by Greaves Tree Services Limited t/a Lakes Kiln Dried Logs.

Orders made online and over the telephone will constitute agreement to these terms and conditions of sale. We assume that you have read and understood these terms, and that you agree to them.

Our products

The company requests that the customer understands fully the conditions of sale regarding natural products. We cannot guarantee that the appearance and/or colour of products shown on this website accurately represent nor exactly reproduce the appearance and/or colour of the products themselves. Natural products may show some colour variations. All sizes quoted are approximate, and although we aim to be as accurate as possible in our product specifications, the customer understands that this is not always possible for natural products.

Supply of our products

Products are sold under the express understanding that:

  • Contracts for the supply of logs to retail or domestic customers are governed by The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).
  • Products are supplied in compliance with The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended by S1689 2005.
  • Any customers contacting us in the course of their business are excluded from consumer protection legislation and are contacting us on a business to business basis.

Product pricing and sale

All prices quoted by the company for the sale of any products include the cost of delivery unless otherwise stated.

Customers are required to pay by credit card/debit card at the time of ordering.

All payment transactions are via Sage Pay service.

All payments are in sterling (British Pounds).

Complaints procedure

The company requires the customer to make any complaint in writing or by email within 48 hours of collection or delivery. If the customer is dissatisfied with the product then it must be returned to the company within 5 working days after the complaint has been logged. A refund will then be made for the original purchase price.

Product delivery

We aim to despatch the same day as the order is placed (or the next working day, if the order is received after 2.30pm on a working day or any time on a non working day). Therefore orders cancelled after despatch will incur costs both for delivery and return to Lakes Kiln Dried Logs.

Delivery by the company shall be conditional upon access free from encumbrances and good roads being available for the delivery vehicles to access the place of delivery.

The company will make every effort to deliver products on the agreed date, but if for any reason the company is unable to deliver then the company accepts no liability whatsoever whether in damages or otherwise arising from the delay of goods as part of an order due to any cause. If the company or its agent cannot gain access to the delivery address then additional costs may be incurred.

All products (however delivered) shall be at the customer’s risk from the time of collection (if so collected) or from the time of delivery. After such time the company shall be under no liability for loss or damage or deterioration of the product from whatever cause arising.

The company will not accept any liability for damages to property caused during delivery.

Order cancellation

The Customer has the right to cancel any order. Any cancellations must be made within 7 days from the date of the order being placed.

The company requires any cancellation to be made in writing or by email by the customer.
